About Cosumnes River Horsemen’s Association
“No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle”
We are a community of horse enthusiasts based in Shingle Springs, CA (and surrounding areas) who love spending time on the trail and sharing the joy of riding together. Our club is built around friendship, horsemanship, and plenty of fun along the way.
Each month (weather permitting), we plan at least one campout and one club ride, giving members a chance to enjoy the outdoors, explore new places, and strengthen the bond between horse and rider. Beyond riding, we host a variety of social events throughout the year, including potlucks, poker rides, a Halloween party, Christmas party, play days, chili cook-offs, and more.
In addition to fostering community and creating great memories, we are committed to giving back. Each year, a portion of our club funds is donated to equestrian-based charities, supporting causes that help horses and riders beyond our own group.
We also stay connected and organized through our meetings—general meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, while board meetings take place the last Wednesday of the month.
